Kiva had her first birthday yesterday! As a lot of you know, Kiva's first year started off badly. She came from a puppy mill in Mexico and due to the poor conditions there, at just seven weeks of age and less than one week after we got her home, she was diagnosed with the parvovirus. The odds were not in her favor, but she showed what her true spirit is like and defied the odds. Today she has that same spirit that pulled her through a very tough disease and she is now healthy and strong. For her first b-day she ate cupcakes, got a pretty hat and a nice new toy, went swimming in her pool and went hiking and swimming again at one of her favorite trails. We have put together a slideshow set to "her song" to mark her first year of life. We hope you enjoy it. We love you Kiva and Happy First Birthday!

Caroyl and Bob are our friends and we were so happy when they asked us to be their wedding photographers! When it comes to the weddings of those we know and that we would otherwise be invited to as guests, we would much rather work than play. We aren't big dancers and would be the types to simply sit at a table all night. We would also be sitting at that table looking at all the cool photos we are missing. Yes, we are just happier being the "wedding photographers."
These two are a wonderful couple and the love they have for one another is so clear. They wanted to hold their wedding at their home in Black Canyon City. They felt it best represented them and we think they were spot on. Bob has a landscaping business and he really did a lovely job getting the property ready for the big day. Mother nature lent a helping hand as well. This was one of the best desert wildflower seasons Arizona has had in several years and the desert and mountains surrounding their property was ablaze with color!
Because they chose their home as their venue, Caroyl and Bob's three adorable dogs were easily able to participate in the ceremony as well. The two little one's are lovingly nicknamed Frick and Frack (they are never far apart from one another) and the sweet boxer is named Rodney. I loved all of them, but I have to say that Rodney stole my heart. He is elderly and reminds me a lot of my Yoshi who I lost last year. Loved them all though :-)!
Yes, this was one for the ages. I mean really, how many wedding can boast javalina skulls on the "sign in picnic table", a baby horn toad lizard participating in the formals (he was very photogenic), a large flock of vultures flying overhead and forming a "heart" just as the ceremony began - seriously not kidding here ... this really happened and we have the photographs to prove it :-), and pickle bobbing at the reception!!?? Moreover, this wedding was about love and understanding and taking it all one day at a time!
Congratulation Caroyl and Bob and may every day from this day forward bring you a lifetime of happiness and joy!! xoxo, Tina and Kevin

Irma and Sadi are two of the most genuine people you will ever meet and they are just perfect for one another! They were married in March at Copperwynd Resort in Fountain Hills, Arizona. They love the natural beauty of the desert and did it ever show off for them! The surrounding hills were bright green with the arrival of spring and the wildflowers were glorious.
This wedding was beautiful and Irma showed off three stunning dresses throughout the day, with shoes to match :-)! The couple also took part in a Chinese Tea Ceremony. Finally, the reception held up to the excitement of the rest of the day with a lively party and a first dance unlike anything we have ever seen before ... simply amazing!
Irma and Sadi, thank you so much for having us as your wedding photographers! We were so honored to be a part of it!

Sabrina and Raj were married March 16, 2013 at beautiful Villa Siena in Gilbert, Arizona! This was an Indian fusion wedding lasting three days. On the final day two ceremonies took place, the first, Indian to honor Raj's heritage and the second, Christian to honor Sabrina's heritage. We just love watching two families with vastly different backgrounds coming together to blend as one ... very moving. Thank you both so much for having us as your wedding photographers. It was an honor to be a part of this wonderful blending of culture and tradition!
Special thank you to our Partner Photographers, Angela Harris and Angie Gomez, for helping out with this event!
