For Kennesha's bridal session, we headed to Washington D.C. We first stopped by the capital to grab some shots (I was surprised by the amount of seagulls hanging out around the frozen water feature out front :-)) and then moved on to the mall to finish up with more emblematic monuments used as backdrops, including the new Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial (Nesha was so excited about those photos :-).) It was cold for sure that day in early January, but it was so much fun!! Thanks for playing along Nesha ... you were stunning!!

This past week we were back in Florida for Brittany and Stephen's wedding. My good friend Aubrey is one of the "Fab 4" Jarvis sisters and my goal is to photograph all of them on their wedding days. Well, Ashley was first, then Aubrey and now Brittany (all since 2006) ... the only one left is Chelsea.
We had four days of shooting scheduled for this wedding, starting with Bee's bridal shoot. We headed from Orlando up to historic St. Augustine, hitting the beaches as we went. Accompanying us was Bee's close friend from Maryland, Nesha. Nesha had never seen the ocean before so it was a lot of fun watching her explore it and dip her toes into the Atlantic for the first time. She was also a great "Bird Rangler" assistant ... thanks Nesha :-).
The weather was rather foul but we didn't let that stop us from getting some absolutely stunning shots ... hard to go wrong though when you are working with one of the Jarvis sisters (they are all sickningly beautiful, thin and tall!) In actuality, I enjoy working in stormy weather. It adds an element to the images and a quality of light that just can't be achieved otherwise. It was a great day full of fun and exploration!
We made an unscheduled stop to catch this storm sweeping in. Turned out to be one of my favorites from the entire day!!
