On October 11th, 2011, Elizabeth and Daniel (Liz and Danny) were married in a dream catholic ceremony at St. Anna church in Vatican City, Rome, Italy in front of their close family and friends and we were fortunate enough to be there to photograph it!
A lot of people have asked us how we got this wedding and well, luck played a large part in it for us :-). Liz and Danny live in Phoenix and had hired us some time back to photograph there wedding which was to originally be held in the valley. One day, I got an email from Liz telling us that this wasn't what she wanted for her wedding, so they would still need us for the reception but would be getting married in Italy instead. I responded with, well you know we travel right??? She responded back with, are you serious ... you would travel to Rome to photograph a wedding??!! She was ecstatic and so were we!!! Once it was finalized, I think we must have jumped and screamed until we lost our voices :-)! And so the rest was history!
This was one of those once-in-a-lifetime events in a wedding photographer's career that we usually only hope for and usually know will never come to pass. Liz and Danny, we wish to thank you (and your wonderful family) for including us in your fairytale! It was beyond anything we could have envisioned and you provided us with poignant memories that will stay with us for the rest of our lives! It was truly stunning and we wish you all the very best life has to offer! When in Rome ... right - now let's all head back :-)!! Enjoy the sneak peak!

The day after the wedding we headed out to a beautiful beach we had scouted when we first arrived in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, to photograph Senait and Ilya's trash the dress shoot. The shoot was amazing (aside from the fact the I got horribly burnt, but we won't go there because I was stupid and didn't put on sunscreen :-)) and came complete with an awesome 1800's pirate ship pulling into the bay behind us ... what a perfect prop!! After the shoot we finished at the Me Cabo Resort with a photo shoot of everyone in their Eritrean wedding attire. Again, thank you both so much ... this was such an amazing experience for us!

Senait and Ilya were married on July 9th, 2011 in a stunning wedding at the Me Cabo Resort in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico! We love photographing destination weddings as it is, but when you add in two unbelievably beautiful people and a reception full of cultural dance, we pretty much hit the trifecta of weddings! This posting has been split into two parts beause there was just way too much to put into one posting.
Senait is of Eritrean descent (Eritrea is a country located in East Africa, bordering Ethiopia) and Eritrean customs were played out throughout the reception. The whole experience was magical and one we will long remember! Thank you both for having us as your wedding photographers for your exotic destination wedding. You were a joy to get to know! Enjoy the sneak peak and wait to you see the trash the dress photos!!

Senait and Ilya's celebration went well into the night and included many customs and dances from Senait's country of descent, Eritrea. We love photographing cultural weddings and receptions! They are always so colorful and festive and this one did not disappoint. This destination was simply amazing and we were so please to be included! Thank you both so much and enjoy!

The day after Theresa and Chris' wedding, we headed into Napa Valley for their trash the dress shoot to take advantage of the beautiful vineyards and stately oak trees. We got some beautiful images and had a great time producing them ... gotta love it when the bride and groom aren't afraid to climb trees :-)! Thank you both again for having us as your wedding photographers and for the wonderful experience!

Nelda King-Sloan:
Love-Love the Black & White effect on the trees. Oh...Love it! :)
