Vanessa and Sean were married at Val Vista Lakes in Gilbert, Arizona on 9-10-11! This wedding was stunning and the weather cooperated most of the day ... notice I said "most." It held out while it mattered (during the ceremony and post-ceremony photos) however, September in Arizona is still monsoon season and though it is dying off by that point, big storms are still not out of the question. As soon as everyone was seated and dinner began, hell came upon us and the mother of all storms rolled in. It was INTENSE - and destructive - with torrential rains, pounding hail and winds in excess of 60 miles per hour! In its wake the ceremony site was in shambles and trees were downed all over the parking lot. Luckily though it waited until everyone was safely indoors. The reception carried on and all-in-all it was a perfect day! Thank you all for having us as your wedding photographers ... it was so much fun!!
Thank you to Angie, who came along to help out on this 12 hour long wedding :-)!

Brooke and Ryan had their wedding in late April at Arcosanti in Arizona. In early June, once they had fully recovered from sunburns they got on their honeymoon to Cancun (I know how you feel :-)), we photographed their trash the dress shoot. They decided to hold their session at Lake Pleasant - a place they love - along with their boat - another thing they love :-). We had a great day playing and capturing some unique images on a hot Arizona summer day at the lake! Thanks for the fun you two!!

The Garbe family holds a place very dear to our hearts! We first met them in 2007 when we photographed Amanda's sister, Paige's, wedding. Since then we have become very close with them, photographing children, first birthdays, family reunions and so on. We have had the privilege to watch this large and very close family as it grows and on May 7th we got to witness and photograph the wedding of their youngest daughter, Amanda, as she married the love of her life, Trent! The wedding was held at the Garbe family home and everything was just beautiful. Some aspects of the wedding were traditional ... and some definitely were not. Amanda and Trent made this wedding unique and their own and that's what I love about them :-)! Congratulations to you both!! Love you guys!!!

Brooke and Ryan were married April 30th, 2011 at Arcosanti in Mayer, Arizona. This was a unique wedding to say the least!! Arcosanti was placed under construction in 1970 as an experimental town meant to demonstrate ways of improving urban conditions while lessening our impact on the environment. It is still up and running today and continues its strides in teaching us how to handle our effect on the Earth. Brooke and Ryan's wedding was only the 4th or 5th to be held there in the community's long history, so indeed, it was a real treat to be a part of it! Thank you both for having us :-)!

Kendra and Kyle were married on April 16th, 2011 at the Arizona Historical Society Museum in Tempe, Arizona. These two are simply amazing ... and a fantastic couple to both work with and know on a personal level! They are so upbeat, spirited, and genuine and their wedding was unique and we were so glad to be a part of it! They even had a Bob's Big Boy that came along to the wedding as a "special" guest :-). Story goes that he has been around with Kendra for a while and at times he would mysteriously disappear. It would appear that friends would take Big Bob on vacations, trips, etc. and take his photograph in various locations. So, it seemed appropriate that he should be at his owner's wedding. The amazing thing was that the Museum happened to be having a Bob's Big Boy display ... what a funny coincidence - and a great photo opp!! Wait till you see the Trash the Dress session they had in Sedona ... by far our dirtiest yet :-)!
