Amie and Ben were married on a VERY cold, rainy day in early December at the stunning Superstition Mountain Golf and Country Club in Gold Canyon, just east of Phoenix. The weather was certainly unseasonable to say the least, especially by Phoenix standards, but Amie and Ben took it all in stride and their day was spectacular none-the-less!
The rain can actually make for beautiful photos. It was the cold that was more of a challenge. While doing the couple's portraits, we would rotate from inside to outside and back in again to prevent the couple from slowly freezing to death :-). Fortunately this venue has plenty of photographic opportunities on both ends so the possibilities were endless. By the way, if you think you see snow on the peaks of the mountains in the background, that's because you do ... told you it was cold :-)!
The reception was held at The Views at Superstition, also in Gold Canyon. The venue was decked out in a holiday theme and was simply magical! Thank you both so much for having us as your wedding photographers and for being so wonderful to work with!!
Thank you also to Robert Godridge for assisting us on this wedding!

We haven't been able to blog much lately with all the deadlines we have been facing. That is winding down now though and in the next few weeks there will be a lot of beautiful wedding to post ... we can't wait to show them!!
Having said that, we had to post this one. The bride and groom are extra special to us because the bride's mother was a client of ours a couple of years ago. In 2009 Terry and Glenn were married on the rooftop of the Valley Ho Hotel in Scottsdale. At that wedding we met Jamie and Michael and told them to call us when their time to walk down the aisle came :-).
Fast forward to early December 2011 and that time was here. Jamie and Michael got married at the beautiful Sanctuary Resort in Scottsdale. They laughed recounting our statement made up on that rooftop so many years before. Turns out they had only been dating a very short time and both of them were thinking, "what are they talking about, were not going to get married." Looks like we had it right all along ... what do they know :-).
Seriously, Jamie and Michael, we are so glad you two did end up heading down that road. You are a beautiful couple and we are so happy for you! Thank you both for trusting us as your wedding photographers to capture your wedding day as well!

Tina and Kevin, THANK YOU! These were worth the wait! You captured the emotions beautifully. Have to admit we cried as we looked through them. We seriuosly need to get dinner sometime!

Anna and Josh were married at Shepherd of the Hills United Church of Christ in Phoenix in late October! Their reception was held at a private residence. These two were a referral from from an amazing past couple of ours - Jessica and Jim - who were married last spring. Anna and Josh were equally amazing and we just loved working with them. They are so gracious and their love for one another is very apparent :-)! Congratulations to you both!!

You are a very good photographer. I really like your work: well composed, great notion of the light and great B/Ws. Congrats.

Susan and Jason were married in October at Villa Siena in Gilbert, Arizona! Jason is the Publisher of Arizona Golf Central Magazine and both he and Susan really wanted unique photos that would capture the unique spirit of their spectacular event. We certainly hope we delivered :-)!
This wedding truly was beyond belief! Susan previously lived in Venice, Italy (so jealous) and wanted her wedding to capture the spirit of Venice and an evening at Carnival, for which the city is famous. Villa Siena, a beautiful Tuscan-style villa, was the perfect setting for the Venice Carnival Theme. To complete that theme, each guest was given a hand-made mask designed and shipped in from Venice, Italy and they dined on delicious Italian food in a sea of ostrich feather centerpieces. A Victorian lady-in-white, stiltwalker and court jester were there to greet and entertain guests thereby completing the feel of Carnival. This was an amazing event to be a part of! Thank you both so much for having us as your wedding photographers and a big thank you to our Associate Photographer, Angie, for coming along and helping as a third photographer! Enjoy!

A magical wedding affair. Thank you Susan & Jason for giving us the honor of helping you with your wedding invitations, table number cards & accessories. And Thank you Sierra Blanco Photography for capturing them so beautifully.
