This wedding is a great example of why it can be really cool to have your big day during Arizona's monsoon season! Cheryl and Josh held their wedding last July at the Sedona Golf Resort. They live in Chicago - we have a lot of clients that live in Chicago, don't know what that's about - but have family in Arizona, so they decided to have a destination wedding among the beautiful red rocks of Sedona. They started off at the Red Agave Resort and then headed to Schnebly Hill for some pre-ceremony photos before ending the remainder of the day at Sedona Golf Resort. The weather was typical monsoon-type weather ... dramatic, dark clouds hovering all around threatening rain, but mostly just show with little punch. It was actually a beautiful day and we absolutely adored the couple :-)!

I LOVE #33 & #34!! Oh my word...so beautiful...the couple & the sky is breath taking.
I just smile when I see your work... :) LOVE IT!! Great job.

Fast forward three months - and into a new year - and we are back with Gina and Matt for their trash the dress shoot. They had been planning on doing this shoot all along and Gina was REALLY looking forward to it ... she was ready to jump into the freezing cold water at her wedding in November (true story ... she makes me laugh :-).)
They really wanted to do their trash the dress shoot in snow (I love snow shoots ... my absolute favorites,) but that is always tricky, especially when you only have one day each week you can schedule the shoot. We had originally planned the shoot in January, but there was no sign of a fresh snow storm, so we suggested waiting a bit. We tentatively re-scheduled the shoot for this past Sunday and could hardly believe our good fortune when we heard a big snow storm was rolling into the high country. This was the same storm that brought stunning rainbows to our wedding the previous day - man, what a spectacular weekend to shoot :-)!! Snow levels dropped significantly and we took advantage of grabbing some rare snow shots in lower Sedona before heading up into the canyon to the West Fork of Oak Creek where it looked like a perfect winter wonderland.
Thank you both so much for enduring the cold and helping to create these magical shots!!

This day was sooo spectacular! Being that I haven't been in snow much before this, and also that Gina & matt were phenomenal in front of the camera (not to mention one of the cutest & most genuinely loving couples EVER!)...This has to be my favorite shoot to date! :) LOVE THE POSTING!

Gina and Matt were married last November in a beautiful, intimate autumn wedding at L'Auberge de Sedona in Sedona. The cottonwoods and sycamores lining Oak Creek were ablaze in radiant shades of yellow and orange! We just love this couple - two of the kindest people you could ever hope to meet - and their love for one another was so evident and inspiring. Thank you both for having us as your wedding photographers! It was a true joy!

Shana and Barry had a gorgeous wedding last June at L'Auberge de Sedona! They had a traditional Jewish ceremony, which meant it would take place after dark. A little challenging to say the least, when the event is held outside under a grove of trees. We set up lights around the surrounding forest and were quite pleased with the results. It took a while, but we couldn't resist showing this amazing wedding!

Beautiful! The skies are an awesome touch. Love your sky shots.
