Kristen and Adam were married September 17th, 2011 on a perfect day in Flagstaff, AZ. This wedding was a referral from my good friend and fellow wedding photographer, Melissa Dunstan. Melissa is very close friends with both the bride and groom and served as part of their wedding party and it was an honor for me to photograph this beautiful event! Everything about the day was magical, from the stunning couple, to the lovely decorations and ribbons hand-picked by the bride, to the enchanted wedding in a forest clearing in the mountains amongst tall pines and white-barked aspens, and then their was the little fawn. A baby deer fawn came up out of nowhere during formals to be a part of the photographs ... can't get much more magical than that :-)! We also had the chance to finally work with the ultra-talented Kim Duncan of KD Event Designs, www.kdeventdesigns.com , and she did a spectacular job with the reception set up at Thornagers. Thank you both for having us as your wedding photographers. It was a true joy! Enjoy the sneak peak! Thank you too to our Associate Photographer, Angie Gomez, for doing such an amazing job as always second shooting for this event!

It is always an honor to place in the WPJA quarterly competitions as I am competing against some of the best wedding photographers in the world! This time though it was humbling for me. I garnered my very first 1st PLACE AWARD this time and was so elated!! The winning image placed 1st in the SILHOUETTES AND SHADOWS category and was taken at Brooke and Ryan's wedding this past April at Arcosanti in Arizona. I also won 14th PLACE in the same category for an image I took at Theresa and Chris's wedding at V. Sattui Winery in Napa, CA back in May of this year.

The day after Leslie and Ben's wedding we headed out for their Trash the Dress Shoot. We started at L'Auberge de Sedona and then headed to Red Rock Crossing and finally Merry-Go-Round Rock for sunset. This had to be, without doubt, the windiest conditions we have ever encountered at Merry-Go-Round Rock. It often gets windy at this location, but this was insane. I hand it to Leslie for standing in those conditions. It made for beautiful photos, but it also made for a very cold and rather scary setting (you don't want to mess around up there - the drops are shear and long.) Thank you both for having us and thank you to a past couple of ours, Kimberly and Derek, who referred us to their good friends (it was great seeing you both at the wedding as well) :-)!

Leslie and Ben were married on May 28th, 2011 in Sedona, Arizona. They held their ceremony at Oak Creek in front of their families and then headed over to Tlaquepaque for their reception / party. Their two beautiful dogs, more like their children :-), served as party of the bridal party during the ceremony. Props to Nikki Laing of Sweet Soiree Events, www.mysweetevent.com , for putting this event together. She did a fantastic job and was a delight to work with! Also, I would like to thank Melissa Dunstan for second shooting with me at this wedding and doing a spectacular job as always :-)!
Look for this wedding being featured in the upcoming Spring/Summer 2012 edition of Arizona Bride Magazine out on stands December 30, 2011. We are very excited!
